Across the “Pond”

Where to begin?  It's always tough for me to just "dump" down this stuff when I get here. Europe has a very deeply rooted connection with me in that some of my most formative years were spent here, so to try and describe things really seem overwhelming because it's not just a "mission" for me. Being here really transports me internally to former times in my life that sculpted me, taught me, gave me essentials that reemerge and make me reflect and remember.  Okay! Down to business.
The flight was almost surreal, I was going over the month ahead and it was so hard to make sense of it all. So much to pack in that I finally gave my mind a rest by telling myself just to stick to the general idea that I would just "suit up and show up", and all else would fall into place on its own.
My friends are here, my past is here  and my future is here and now I am here! The first thing I was to contend with was that I had 5 hours to wait at Shiphol before my friend Paul could pick me up. He was at Messe Essen all day friday working with cars and couldn't break free till late in the day. Thankfully, he traveled from Germany to Amsterdam to find me tired and ready to go to Hetteran to sleep at Chris and Annelise's house. They were on "holiday" in Berlin for the weekend so I had the place to myself.
My gps, vodaphone, euro's and BMW were waiting for me there. A short nights rest, then off to Techno Classica at the crack of dawn the next morning. At "Essen" (Messe Essen Techno Classica) I usually have a car or two there on display to sell, but this time I had but a mere book I prepared to show the Big Dealers/Collectors about "Matilda", my ultra rare original numbers matching 1958 Rudge 356A Cabrio-still in California, to market it in Europe. My "assignment" as chief Product Developer for my company Z911Partsstore.com, is to talk to my "people" relative to Porsche products to introduce to the USA products that are "Cutting-edge" for our Porsche community back home.
Twin Plug Distributors, MFI Throttle bodies, Stacks, MFI Space Cams, Sheet Metal panels, R/RS/ST products made and developed all across Europe in "semi secret" to introduce to the USA and my task, to be the FIRST on having these for the US market and to solidify Z911Partsstore's exclusivity for handling these "Unobtanium Products" for the USA.

Many of these innovations were inceptioned based on our 'Thinktanking" and discussed with my "Producers/Fabricators" out here years ago when I first came out. The BIGGEST questions then were based on: "What the Porsche Performance world needs, doesn't have anymore and how to do something about it!"

As this month progresses, I will keep up with "progress notes" and pictures of our doings and developments. Meanwhile, enjoy Techno Classica Essen, and some funny other pix through my eyes. (the pix of us unloading the Bay Window VW busses were taken today in Nettetal)... Life is good.

First Stop “Schiphol”!

Here in Schiphol, waiting Paul who picks me up- then from Amsterdam to Renkum to 'gear up" -then Techno classica in Essen Sat and Sun to start the month off... Big thrust towards product development for Z911 and some very top-secret  huge ticket products for Porsche 911's we have been working on since last year... Flight was good- and I'm wiped..  Chris from Motron is on Holiday to Berlin this weekend- so I'll stay there and work...    Funny, when you do a month away- the butterflys dont come until you actually get here, unlike a shorter trip...

Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA

What an event it was at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, California. The place was filled with some of the most beautiful classic Porsches I've ever seen on the west coast. People gathering from all over the nation, from Seattle to Virginia. I even meet some folks from France, Italy and of course Germany. The vibe of the whole atmosphere around the club was great and friendly. People were smiling, laughing and chatting Porsche away. Inside the auditorium was filled with different vendors from part restorations, to Porsche clothing and gift bags. Overall, the event was a success! We ended up showcasing some of our products on top of the 930 Turbo, and people loved it! We are looking forward to meeting more of you at future events and continuing to showcase our products to the Porsche community.

Enjoy!

A One of a Kind, Barn find.

After 45 years in a backyard southern California "Sun Valley" garage (in the middle of everybody!). Z911PartsStore's "Jonathan Sieger" snags an incredible numbers matching 1953 Pre-A Bent Window 1500cc Coupe. Most likely one of the last "Barnfinds" left. Floors incredible, body incredible, battery tray-pan wasted, and the motor turns freely. It's very complete! What a find!?! Double boomerang seats tells me it's a rear seat delete car. (No Cardex Yet). I sold it instantly to Tom Drummond of "Wholesale California", incase there's further interest... JONO

Now on to pictures!

Official!

Had a chance last friday to head to Bakersfield, CA to make our way over to the Kern County Clerks Office.

Since California had those recent rains, it made the ride quite enjoyable, and scenic as well!

As I approached the building in Bakersfield, I noticed that the building had some really interesting geometry to it.

Got to give it to architectures who can design a great looking building.

Once inside, took care of all the paperwork, and made it official!
